Hun Manet: Cambodian Entrepreneur Federation Forum Provides Opportunity for the Exchange of Ideas

PHNOM PENH: The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, has expressed his high appreciation for the Cambodian Entrepreneur Federation Forum, which was held on Sunday, 26 February 2023. He said this forum creates a favorable environment for the establishment and expansion of communication networks between entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the forum, he added that it also provides an opportunity for the Young Entrepreneurs Association and Business Associations to exchange new ideas for the benefit of entrepreneurs and business promotion and progress.

Based on the experience of providing advice on a number of issues related to public-private partnerships, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet believes that the two actors can cooperate with understanding and high trust in the implementation of various policies, which can effectively contribute to the Royal Government's efforts to resolve all challenges smoothly.

He offered the view that the private sector can have a clear representation of which sector they wish to cooperate on with the Royal Government, particularly in the promotion of the industrial sector in Cambodia, and especially for micro-enterprises and small and medium enterprises.

"Like industry, agriculture is an important support base for other sectors of the national economy as a whole, especially the contributions to scale the economy through initiatives of 'One Region, One Sector'," said Lt. Gen. Hun Manet.

He added that from this point of view, it is necessary for Cambodia to examine and study the potential of each region in the nationwide framework, in order to identify priority sectors, organize incentives and investments in infrastructure to support them, and provide an attractive and suitable investment environment that is productive and highly competitive in both domestic and international markets.
